I'm working to remedy the situation, by getting more art-related books and "how-to-write" books. Kinda having an art crisis. :D

Alrighty, got a new computer, I'm back in business. :D New picture too. It's not finished yet, but I think you can see where it's going.

Sorry for the lackage of posts, it's just been with my computer dying on me, as well as a mishap with my tablet pen that has gone away, it's been kinda hard... but I'm thankfully bouncing back. I've got something new, with Friskette with a new tattoo replacing an old one, to reflect change in taste. I will be writing a story arc to explain it, as it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Late for the bandwagon on two accounts!

I don't like Twilight. Vampires don't sparkle. Vampires are not vegetarians. Vampires can't go out into sunlight for very long. VAMPIRES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BADASS AND SCARY. Twilight fails these on many levels. Vampire: The Masquerade did vampires better. UNDERWORLD did vampires better. Fuck Twilight.

Alrighty, I had previously put up a picture of Friskette topless... however, I've deleted that post... not because I was ashamed of it or anything, just that I noticed something wrong and decided to fix it, so I've done that. Here's the redone version.

The States of SimCity

I was bored, and decided to challenge myself. So I took a game series I like, the SimCity series, and a character, in this case Friskette. I challenged myself to use Friskette to represent how I felt about 5 games in the series. This is what I came up with.

Alright, I STILL have a shit name for this project, but it's better than "Untitled Shapirica Enterprises Project" and "The Anti-Frisketized"

I've decided that the tentative title for the anti-Frisketized is "Livin' It Ashley." Shit name, yeah, I know, but the lead character's name is Ashley Jenifer Williams (Evil Dead reference on purpose), so it kinda fits. Anyway, basically, it's a story about Ashley coming to terms with her sexuality. Plain and simple. She has competition on the cheerleading squad in the form of her school nemesis, Veronica Sawyer, who's sleeping with the vice principal to get what she wants. (Note: I never said the anti-Frisketized would be for kids.) Ashley also has to deal with Dr. Klopenferret taking over the world (OF COURSE! [/M. Bison]), her best friend/lover Croatia embarrassing her, and other shit that I haven't planned out yet.

More when I come up with it.

New picture

So I drew something comparing the normal Friskette and the angry Friskette... I think it came out okay... I want to redo the background for the angry side and the way she's holding the grenade, but those are minor nitpicks.

So about the Anti-Frisketized...

I have some of the important characters done, and created the setting and shit like that... but I haven't gotten a good name for it yet. I've got some character designs too, so I'll probably post those later.

The Anti-Frisketized

So, I've been thinking. I don't want Frisketized to become a victim of Executive Meddling.

So I'm creating the Anti-Frisketized. Something more marketable, ya know? More as I come with it.

New drawing.

I was working on a sketch for Tara's drawing jam thing, where I was to take a pose from one of the current pictures up, and do a simple sketch.... this isn't so much a simple sketch as it is a drawing of Revy from Black Lagoon with shading and lighting that took a whole night to do. I am pleased with it though.

Working on designs and shit.

So I was bored last night and wanted to try something new with the Friskette design. I'm not a hundred percent on it yet, but I think I've just started design work on Friskette Version 10.1 (Which gets applied to the current Friskette, Version 10).

Frisketized is of an adult nature. That means that this blog may contain adult language, suggestive and blunt sexual content, occasional nudity, violence, obscure references to Reel Big Fish and The Aquabats!, and sacrilegious material.

The Lovebirds Redux

I decided to redo the old Lovebirds picture I did last year. I think this one came out better. It's also got the new coloring as well. I like it more than the old one.

It's Frisketized for a school assignment

So I just finished my Illustrator project where I had to recreate a panel from my comic strip. I think it turned out perfectly.

Cleaning house

Cleaned up all the old posts that were part of the ol' RantSpace part of the blog before it became primary an art blog.

Uh whoops.

Forgot I had this. XD. Anyway, I'll be updating this with more stuff later as the year goes on. Hopefully. I think.

Friskette voice casting problems

Alright... I've been thinking about my current voice setup for Friskette, which currently is just my voice sped up 39%. I'm thinking that I should recast it as I can't do it anymore to my liking. If anyone wants to try voicing Frisky, just send me an e-mail, and I'll send a sample piece of dialogue.

Frisketized Stuff

Well, I suppose I should post some art. Here we go.

This is one you've probably seen before. It's still one of my favorite sketches of Frisky and Jeni together. And that's an RBF poster in the background, yes.








This is a panel from Strip 9. It pretty much sums up how I feel about ultra-conservatives. Which are the people who can't understand that not every one thinks like them.








Another panel from Strip 9. The anger font is DeathRattle from Blambot... and the normal dialog font is SuperStrong, also from Blambot. Blambot has good fonts.






Huh, that's a lot of Jenifer sketches, I'll try to get some more Frisky sketches in the next one.
